Navenio is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join the Second Line Support team.

Navenio is expanding in the UK, launching two new products, and into the US market following a round of investment.

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer. An analytical and critical thinker, with strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions. Someone who can work independently on their own initiative.

 

The Role

You will be working fully remotely in a small and growing team based in the UK, supporting multiple bespoke products, for multiple clients.

Working with a wide range of internal teams, you will be confident communicating technical issues to non-technical and technical teams.

You will be using AWS, Kubernetes, Kibana, Grafana, and PostgreSQL daily.

We use Jira Service Management for managing tickets raised by customers, and Jira Software for project and development work.

Issues will be escalated to Second Line Support from internal teams.

Our team have a wide and growing range of processes and tasks we own, which we look to automate using Jenkins and Python.

Within Application Support we work closely with the development teams of our products to troubleshoot, resolve bugs and incidents, and write documentation.

Our support teams operate an on-call rota which rotates to the next team member weekly.
Any calls taken will be paid at time and a half. Double time is paid on bank holidays.

Addition to the on-call rota will only be after successfully completing your probation period and receiving specific training.

Navenio offers the freedom to explore new tools and develop technically and personally within individual roles.

Training will be provided for our internal products and toolset.
External training can be provided for technologies you’d like to explore which would be beneficial to your role.

 

Essential Requirements

Solid commercial experience in Application / Infrastructure support role.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and skills
  • Able to provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team in areas of expertise
  • Comfortable working independently and on own initiative
  • Experience working efficiently with team members across different locations remotely
  • Must have a passion for technology with an understanding of Cloud hosting technology
  • The ability to join an out of hours call rota.
